Burgundy Development Agency and its partners : the DRCE – the export service of the Burgundy Regional Council, and the University of Burgundy (Ubi France) hosted Mariette Mulaire, President and General Director of the National and International Agency of Manitoba (ANIM) on January 8th and 9th.
Ms. Mulaire presented the status of the exchange between the two regions to Burgundy’s partners, and offered as well a preview of the World Forum for Small and Medium-sized Businesses – Centrallia - organized along the same framework as the well-known Futurallia, to be held in Manitoba from October 20th to 22nd, 2010.
ANIM’s goals are to improve and strengthen commercial ties between Manitoban businesses and the principal French-speaking business centers throughout the world. ANIM signed an agreement with the Burgundy Development Agency and Vitagora both to encourage technical and scientific exchange in the agroalimentary businesses and to enlarge Manitoba’s international trade. ANIM will act as a relay point between the two Burgundian structures and their corresponding fields in Manitoba. Following the agreement, Burgundy Development Agency organized a very promising prospecting trip in 2009.
